Guiding D Light

The Problem

Derek Guthrie needed a real home for Guiding D Light: energy healing and ascension coaching with a clear path to book sessions, watch his work, and pay. Template builders and generic spiritual themes would not carry the brand, and there was no clean flow from interest to a protected booking request in his inbox.

What I Built

• Custom Astro site with a full brand system: luminous light, gold, royal blue, and blush, built in plain CSS design tokens.
• Public pages for home, about, sessions, watch, and contact, with session art, stories, and a galaxy hero video.
• Multi-step booking flow for five offerings, plus PayPal.me for payment and donations.
• Contact and booking forms through a Cloudflare Pages Function: Turnstile verification, then FormSubmit to Derek's Gmail.
• Watch page with privacy-friendly YouTube embeds and a path out to his channel.

How It Works

The site ships as a static Astro build on Cloudflare Pages. When someone books or writes in, the browser posts to /api/inquire. The Pages Function verifies the Turnstile token, then hands the payload to FormSubmit so Derek gets a normal email without running his own mail server. PayPal and YouTube stay as direct links for payment and content.
